The ITSSAR-accredited VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Forklift Truck Training course (F Group) offered by SID Training is exclusively provided on-site at your premises. This allows operators to train using your own equipment in their actual working environment, ensuring that they gain practical experience that's directly applicable to their daily tasks.
Designed specifically for very narrow aisle warehouse systems, VNA trucks enable operators to maximize storage capacity while ensuring efficient stock handling. Given the confined spaces and considerable height involved, the operation of these forklifts demands precision, awareness, and control.
This comprehensive course includes both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training, equipping operators with a deep understanding of safe operating procedures and their workplace responsibilities. It also emphasizes strategies for minimizing risks when navigating restricted aisles.
Key focus areas of the training include accurate positioning, safe travel within guided or free-ranging systems, and maintaining stability when lifting at height. Operators will also learn how to safely operate within high-density storage environments and alongside other warehouse activities.
Participants will receive thorough instruction on pre-use inspections, ensuring they can identify faults and conduct essential safety checks before using the equipment.
The training is tailored to the specific type of VNA truck utilized on your site, and the resulting certification will reflect the category and configuration of the equipment the operator has been trained on.
Upon successful completion, delegates will earn an ITSSAR-accredited Certificate of Training, which is recognized throughout the UK and within the warehousing and logistics industry, similar to credentials obtained through HGV training courses.
Throughout the course, delegates will develop a strong understanding of:
- The safe operation of VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) trucks, a key component of our forklift training courses.
- Operator responsibilities and workplace safety awareness that are vital in all HGV training courses.
- Daily pre-use inspections and fault reporting procedures crucial for maintaining equipment safety.
- Safe maneuvering within very narrow aisle environments, enhancing skills applicable in high-density storage areas.
- Understanding guided rail and wire guidance systems (where applicable), which are essential for effective equipment operation.
- Accurate positioning and stacking within high racking systems to optimize warehouse efficiency.
- Stability principles when lifting and placing loads at height, ensuring safe practices in line with SID Training standards.
- Safe working practices in high-density storage areas, focusing on minimizing risks around pedestrians and other warehouse activities.
- End-of-shift procedures and safe shutdown of equipment, critical for the ongoing operation of warehouse systems.
All candidates will complete both a theoretical test and a practical skills assessment at the end of the forklift training courses and HGV training courses. Upon successful completion, delegates will receive an ITSSAR-accredited Certificate of Training, recognised across the UK and widely accepted within industry, also applicable for those pursuing SID Training.
At SID Training, we take pride in offering high-quality, compliant, and engaging forklift training courses and HGV training courses that prioritize safety.
