The ITSSAR-accredited Slinger Signaller Training course, offered by SID Training, is conducted exclusively on-site at your premises. This on-site operator training allows candidates to learn in a real working environment while utilizing your lifting equipment and site setup whenever applicable.
Slinger signallers are crucial to lifting operations, ensuring loads are safely attached, directed, and moved, all while maintaining clear communication with crane operators and other lifting equipment users.
This comprehensive course combines theoretical knowledge with practical training to equip operatives with safe slinging techniques, signalling procedures, and workplace responsibilities, effectively minimizing risks during lifting activities.
A significant focus is placed on load security, the correct use of lifting accessories, hand signalling, communication methods, and the establishment of safe exclusion zones during operations.
Operatives will also learn to estimate load weights, understand lifting angles, and maintain awareness of the centre of gravity, emphasizing the importance of planning safe lifting activities.
The course covers pre-use inspections of lifting accessories and equipment in detail, enabling operatives to detect faults, damage, or unsafe conditions prior to use.
Tailored to your operational environment and lifting requirements, this ITSSAR-accredited training ensures relevance to real site activities and established workplace procedures.
Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a certified ITSSAR-accredited Certificate of Training, recognized throughout the UK in the construction, industrial, and lifting sectors.
Throughout the ITSSAR accredited training course, delegates will develop a strong understanding of: safe slinging and signalling procedures, operator and slinger signaller responsibilities, daily inspections of lifting accessories and equipment, correct selection and use of lifting accessories, safe attachment and securing of loads, hand signalling and communication techniques, understanding load weights, balance, and centre of gravity, safe lifting practices and exclusion zones, working safely around cranes, lifting equipment, and site hazards, and end-of-shift procedures along with the safe storage of lifting accessories. This comprehensive slinger signaller course ensures that participants are equipped for effective on-site operator training.
At the conclusion of the course, all candidates will undergo both a theoretical test and a practical skills assessment. Upon successful completion, delegates will be awarded an ITSSAR-accredited Certificate of Training, ensuring they are well-equipped for on-site operator training and are fully prepared for the slinger signaller course. This certification is recognized across the UK and widely accepted within the industry.
