Coach (Category D) Training

At SID Training, we ensure that your journey to obtaining your Coach (Category D) licence is as simple as possible. From your initial medical assessment to your practical driving test, our experienced team will guide you throughout the process. Whether you’re starting your career in passenger transport or looking to enhance your skills with coach driving training, we will customize your instruction to match your experience, confidence, and ability.

Once you've completed your medical and passed your theory tests, we'll invite you to our Cotes Heath training centre for a free driving assessment. This allows your instructor to assess your current driving ability and recommend the most suitable course length for your coach driving training, ensuring your training is personalized. 

Coach (Category D)

Coach driving training courses typically range from 12–24 hours of practical training, depending on your previous driving experience, confidence, and driving assessment. 

Practical Driving Test

Your practical driving test will usually take place on the final day of your course, typically on a Tuesday or Wednesday. 

Tests begin directly from our training centre in Cotes Heath, allowing you to train and test from the same familiar location. 

Training is delivered in 4-hour driving sessions throughout the week.
